  13. Mr Ferguson, I trust you understand that while you may hate me, I am simply doing my job. It is nothing personal, we all have our roles to play. At least I gave you some advance notice of pending operations from time to time.

Congratulations on your new website, Mr. Ferguson. I do so treasure these moments we have together.

  17. woop woop! Just registered! Thanks Turd. Only problem i found is that if you use upper case in the verification box it won't verify the words. took me a few attempts to figure it out :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Snoochie - I, too, am having word verification issues......anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  19. The word verification was not completed correctly. Please complete this new word verification and try again.

got that at least 10 times. Impossible to register. something is wrong.

    frustrated

I used all lower case letter in word verification then later tried upper case. same problem. this really should not be a problem. it should not even be needed the first day. it only locks out the loyal members.

  20. update - word ver finally worked....took about 15 tries.

    Cheers and congrats Mr Ferguson!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I had some trouble with the word ver too.

Try the "listen" prompt and see if that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Word verification on the new account....?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, I've tried the word verif like a dozen times so far! No luck yet.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @sockeye1:

Took me 13 times to register. Keep at it.

Maybe it is done that way on purpose to keep the trolls out?

    ReplyDelete
  25. The word verification is terrible. Please have them switch to recaptcha or something that is known to work.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi Turd, congrats on the new site ... the word verification is a bitch, however. I tried at least 15 times, and can't make it through. I suspect some kind of bug, but maybe I really am just that dense, I don't know :-) ... I wanted to send you a message through the contact link, but it told me that I am not allowed to send more than three messages per hour, when I hadn't even sent one yet.

anyway, going to bed for now, will try again tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Took me about 10x too. Tried every combo of upper/lower case. Can't remember but think all lowercase finally worked.

    ReplyDelete
  28. This is bull shit.

there is not need for the frigging word verification. shut it off it does not work.

    Christ Sake. Can not register.

    Frustrated.

  29. Right outside this lazy summer home
you ain't got time to call your soul a critic no.
Right outside the lazy gate of winter's summer home,
    wond'rin' where the nut-thatch winters,
wings a mile long just carried the bird away.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin' brings,
But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenin's and songs of it's own

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own,
And sometimes we visit your country and live in your home,
sometimes we ride on your horses, sometimes we walk alone,
sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own.

  30. The Audio is a piece of Chit. The words are not pronounced correctly. The whole thing SUCKS BIG TIME.

I HAVE TO LEAVE BEFORE I GET ANGRY WITH THE F#CKING WORD VERIFICATION.

There is no need for word verification in the first place. not on registration.

NO WORD VERIFICATION NEEDED FOR REGISTRATION...............

    SHUT OFF THE WORD VERIFICATION.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Word verification seemed to work for me in all lower case for those of you having problems but it may have been a coincidence. Just keep trying, i know they're a bitch but it keeps the bots out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. sockeye

    relax dude.

I'm not in yet either. I'm just assuming that it can't handle hundreds of peeps trying to create accounts all at the same time. I'll go make supper and try again later. No sweat.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, the word verification had me going for a while. I was glad to see one that i could tell which was upper and lower case letters!

    ReplyDelete
  34. fwiw ... as to the problems with the word verification ... I would be looking for some sort of session management bug ... if so many people are having problems, maybe some threads are not synchronized that should be ... just speculation on my part, but that's what I would be looking at.

    ReplyDelete
  35. OK, so it finally worked on maybe the 25th try. For no apparent reason. Did nothing different than the other 24 times.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have tried to register at least a dozen times. The capcha(?) at the end always fails. this is the error message: The word verification was not completed correctly. Please complete this new word verification and try again.

  37. Turd,

I dont think we should be getting all happy that silver and gold have moved... there are alot of bearish technicals converging that can result in a fall...

Take a look at the the HUI... its got a nice head and shoulders pattern... gold is up at its upper resistance level and silver merely bounces of its lower support level.... We should be prepared also for a coming correction....

If it is that simple then many people would make lot of money. I am sure EE is also watching these developments.

What do you say? Anyone can jump in as Atlee may not see this.

  118. The amount of vandalism a wiki receives depends on how open the wiki is. For instance, some wikis allow unregistered users, identified by their IP addresses, to edit content, whilst others limit this function to just registered users. Most wikis allow anonymous editing without an account, but give registered users additional editing functions; on most wikis, becoming a registered user is a short and simple process. Some wikis require an additional waiting period before gaining access to certain tools. For example, on the English Wikipedia, registered users can only rename pages if their account is at least four days old. Other wikis such as the Portuguese Wikipedia use an editing requirement instead of a time requirement, granting extra tools after the user has made a certain number of edits to prove their trustworthiness and usefulness as an editor.

  119. The open philosophy of most wikis, allowing anyone to edit content, does not ensure that every editor is well-meaning. Vandalism can be a major problem. In larger wiki sites, such as those run by the Wikimedia Foundation, vandalism can go unnoticed for a period of time. Wikis by their very nature are susceptible to intentional disruption, known as "trolling". Wikis tend to take a soft security approach to the problem of vandalism; making damage easy to undo rather than attempting to prevent damage. Larger wikis often employ sophisticated methods, such as bots that automatically identify and revert vandalism and JavaScript enhancements that show characters that have been added in each edit.

  122. Blacklisting is multiple providers denying care to a certain patient or patients with a connotation of volition or willfulness. It is done in various ways for various reasons and is not new. In 1907 the Transvaal Medical Union in South Africa blacklisted patients if they could not pay cash in advance. That was a physical list kept by the community of physicians. A physical list is not necessary to blacklist patients, but there have been other efforts to do that. For instance, in the United States the web site was set up to blacklist any patient who had filed a suit against a physician. That effort was extended off shore to a website that encourages doctors to consider avoiding patients who are listed in their database. Those both are physical lists that blacklist patients who either have complained or sued their healthcare providers.

  123. Even without data sharing, collegial loyalty, watching each other's backs, can be enough to result in the denial of care to certain patients. Consider the patient who has been injured by a healthcare provider. Patients with iatrogenic illnesses often cannot get a record made of their injuries and often cannot get treatment. Trudy Newman in her article "Deadly Medical Practices"[17] described the cause as being physicians having a stronger allegiance to each other than to their patients. They are reluctant to acknowledge the existence of iatrogenic injuries by diagnosing or treating them.

HNL opened in March 1927 as John Rodgers Airport, named after World War I naval officer John Rodgers. It was funded by the territorial legislature and the Chamber of Commerce, and was the first full airport in Hawaii: aircraft had previously been limited to small landing strips, fields or seaplane docks. From 1939 to 1943, the adjacent Keehi Lagoon was dredged for use by seaplanes, and the dredged soil was moved to HNL to provide more space for conventional airplanes. The U.S. military grounded all civilian aircraft and took over all civilian airports after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and Rodgers Field was designated Naval Air Station Honolulu.

  129. Roth and Lee are concerned with learning community as a theoretical and analytical category; they critique the way in which some educators use the notion to design learning environments without taking into account the fundamental structures implied in the category. Their analysis does not take account of the appearance of learning communities in the United States in the early 1980s. For example, The Evergreen State College, which is widely considered a pioneer in this area, established an intercollegiate learning community in 1984. In 1985, this same college established the Washington Center for Improving the Quality of Undergraduate Education, which focuses on collaborative education approaches, including learning communities as one of its centerpieces.

  130. The original terminal building was replaced by the John Rodgers Terminal, which was dedicated on August 22, 1962 and opened for passenger traffic on October 14, 1962.This terminal was expanded several times with the addition of the Diamond Head Concourse in 1970, the Ewa Concourse in 1972 and the Central Concourse in 1980.With the advent of ultra-long range aircraft, most transpacific flights no longer need to stop at Honolulu. As such, the airport has seen a notable decrease in international passenger traffic over the years, particularly to Australia, the South Pacific and southeast Asia.

  131. In many organizations, intranets are protected from unauthorized external access by means of a network gateway and firewall. For smaller companies, intranets may be created simply by using private IP ranges, such as 192.168.*.*. In these cases, the intranet can only be directly accessed from a computer in the local network; however, companies may provide access to off-site employees by using a virtual private network. Other security measures may be used, such as user authentication and encryption.

  132. An intranet can be understood as a private analog of the Internet, or as a private extension of the Internet confined to an organization. The first intranet websites and home pages began to appear in organizations in 1996-1997. Although not officially noted, the term intranet first became common-place among early adopters, such as universities and technology corporations, in 1992.Intranets have also contrasted with extranets. While intranets are generally restricted to employees of the organization, extranets may also be accessed by customers, suppliers, or other approved parties.[1] Extranets extend a private network onto the Internet with special provisions for authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA protocol).teeth whitening kits

  133. Communication: Intranets can serve as powerful tools for communication within an organization, vertically and horizontally. From a communications standpoint, intranets are useful to communicate strategic initiatives that have a global reach throughout the organization. The type of information that can easily be conveyed is the purpose of the initiative and what the initiative is aiming to achieve, who is driving the initiative, results achieved to date, and who to speak to for more information. By providing this information on the intranet, staff have the opportunity to keep up-to-date with the strategic focus of the organization. Some examples of communication would be chat, email, and or blogs. A great real world example of where an intranet helped a company communicate is when Nestle had a number of food processing plants in Scandinavia. Their central support system had to deal with a number of queries every day.[3] When Nestle decided to invest in an intranet, they quickly realized the savings. McGovern says the savings from the reduction in query calls was substantially greater than the investment in the intranet.enterprise document management software

Examples of subscription websites include many business sites, parts of news websites, academic journal websites, gaming websites, file-sharing websites, message boards, web-based email, social networking websites, websites providing real-time stock market data, and websites providing various other services (e.g., websites offering storing and/or sharing of images, files and so forth).common cold treatment

In response, the content of the web page will spontaneously change the way it looked before, and will then display a list of Beatles products like CDs, DVDs and books. The main purpose of a dynamic website is automation. A dynamic website can operate more effectively, be built more efficiently and is easier to maintain, update and expand. It is much simpler to build a template and a database than to build hundreds or thousands of individual, static HTML web pages.industrial wind power

  136. Some websites derive revenue by offering products or services for sale. In the case of e-commerce websites, the products or services may be purchased at the website itself, by entering credit card or other payment information into a payment form on the site. While most business websites serve as a shop window for existing brick and mortar businesses, it is increasingly the case that some websites are businesses in their own right; that is, the products they offer are only available for purchase on the web.

  138. Natural selection is the nonrandom process by which biological traits become either more or less common in a population as a function of differential reproduction of their bearers. It is a key mechanism of evolution. The genetic variation within a population of organisms may cause some individuals to survive and reproduce more successfully than others. Factors that affect reproductive success are also important, an issue that Charles Darwin developed in his ideas on sexual selection.handmade leather jackets

  139. Natural variation occurs among the individuals of any population of organisms. Many of these differences do not affect survival (such as differences in eye color in humans), but some differences may improve the chances of survival of a particular individual. A rabbit that runs faster than others may be more likely to escape from predators, and algae that are more efficient at extracting energy from sunlight will grow faster. Something that increases an animal's survival will often also include its reproductive rate; however, sometimes there is a trade-off between survival and current reproduction. Ultimately, what matters is total lifetime reproduction of the animal.

  140. This is the link between natural selection and genetics, as described in the modern evolutionary synthesis. Although a complete theory of evolution also requires an account of how genetic variation arises in the first place (such as by mutation and sexual reproduction) and includes other evolutionary mechanisms (such as genetic drift and gene flow), natural selection appears to be the most important mechanism for creating complex adaptations in nature.

  142. cheap wedding cake toppersadvertising on holdThere are marigolds, small wild poppies of all colours, chocolate crocosmia still flowering like mad, as is the white cosmos, penstemmons, wallflowers opening now too, and lots of foliage from the many grasses we have dotted around. The peonies dying, have a wonderful deep red colour to the leaves, the hostas are dying too, their leaves going a bright, bitter lemon colour, some a deeper shade almost buttery, and others still vibrant and green. In the raised bed my carrots are still growing, as is the garlic and giant Italian parsley, and there are still a couple of lettuces to be cut. Tomatoes ripening like mad, but I am not happy with this particular variety, which are small, but with very tough skins, large seeds and little flesh between the two. I shall maybe roast them and make roast tomato soup at the weekend. That's a good autumny flavour, don't you think?

Venus has no carbon cycle to lock carbon back into rocks and surface features, nor does it seem to have any organic life to absorb it in biomass. Venus is believed to have previously possessed oceans,[12] but these evaporated as the temperature rose due to the runaway greenhouse effect
